ORBI stands for The Oscillating Revenge of the Background Instruments, about instruments that are usually assigned a role in the background. At least until now. The group plays a mix of symphonic rock, blues and even metal in a "chamber music" setting. It's a meeting between the classical world where soloists Bram van Sambeek & Rick Stotijn have built fine careers and the pop/rock world where Sven 'Hammond' Figee flourishes as bandleader and soloist. All-round percussionist and drummer Korff de Gidts works in both worlds. Together they created unique new versions of well-known songs, arranged especially for ORBI by Marijn van Prooijen.
