The Paradise
Paradise is the second part of this successful music theater trilogy by De Blazers. The starting point of the performance is Haydn's oratorio Die Jahreszeiten in a special arrangement for wind ensemble by Hans van der Heide. Bart Moeyaert wrote a new text to the early music and is himself the narrator during the concerts.
The story of The Paradise begins where The Creation ended. The Garden of Eden is one of excess. Bart Moeyaert's language shimmers. In a few strokes of his pen, he describes exuberant nature and stimulates all the senses. He makes it palpable between the lines that in the midst of all the harmony there are only two dissonants walking around: the man who tells the story and the woman who is with him.
