House rules

To ensure the festival is as safe and enjoyable as possible for everyone, we have established a set of house rules. By attending the Oranjewoud Festival, you automatically agree to them. Together, this helps us create a great festival experience.

There is no age limit for attending the festival. Persons under 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult who is responsible for them.

From 18.00, paid entry applies for everyone aged 13 and older.

Visitors must be in possession of a valid ticket and be able to show it upon request.

Any visitor may be checked by a (security) staff member of the organization when entering any of the festival sites. This check is in place to protect all visitors, guests, staff, and artists in terms of general safety.

The aforementioned check includes, among other things, searching the visitor and inspecting bags. It is allowed to request that the check be carried out by a staff member of the same gender.

A (security) staff member of the organization may request a valid form of identification. If you are unable to show it, access to the festival may be denied if there is reason to do so. A valid form of identification is understood to be a passport, identity card, or driver’s license. Copies of these are not accepted.

Feel free to take photos and videos and share them on Instagram, Facebook, or other social media. However, it is not permitted to make professional audio or video recordings for commercial purposes without prior written consent from the organization.

Photos, video, and audio recordings are made by us at the festival. By entering the festival grounds, you agree to this. If you come across yourself online and truly do not like it, let us know and we will resolve it.

  • ADL, epilepsy, and PTSD assistance dogs are allowed everywhere. They must be leashed and identifiable as assistance dogs.
  • Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed in the Overtuin, the area where Festivalhart, de Proeftuin, the Family Zone, and the FB Oranjewoud Pavilion are located. At other outdoor locations, bringing dogs is allowed as long as it does not disturb the musicians or other visitors.

We are guests in a special natural area. We expect all festival visitors to respect nature, fellow festival-goers, and local residents: litter and cigarette butts do not belong in nature, and urinating in public is prohibited. Help us keep the grounds and surrounding area clean. Park your car or bike only in designated areas, of which there are plenty.

The sale of services or products, distributing flyers, and other forms of promotion on or around the festival grounds are not allowed without written permission from the organization. In the case of illegal promotion, all imposed sanctions and/or cleaning costs will be charged to the responsible organization or individual.

Visitors are required to comply with the organization’s regulations. Directions and instructions from (security) staff of the organization must be followed immediately. In the case of suspicion of an activity prohibited at the event, such as possession of drugs, (security) staff are authorized to conduct searches. Refusing a check will result in access to the festival being denied or revoked.

Alcoholic beverages are only served to persons over 18 years old. If there is any doubt, identification will always be requested.

You may not leave the festival grounds with alcoholic drinks. Finish your drink first or hand it over.

It is prohibited to enter the festival or participate in any activities under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. If this occurs, access will be denied or revoked.

It is forbidden to use, possess, or trade drugs at the festival. If this is observed, the visitor will be immediately removed from the festival by a (security) staff member and handed over to the police.

Visitors are prohibited from bringing the following items to the festival:

  • Alcoholic beverages in any type of container, such as glass, cans, or plastic bottles;
  • Fireworks and flammable items, including spray cans;
  • Weapons and objects that can be used as weapons;
  • Nitrous oxide cartridges, as well as the use of them.

If prohibited or illegal items are found, the organization will hand over the individuals in possession of them to the police.

It is not allowed to take items and/or objects from the festival off the festival grounds. Visitors are liable for repair or replacement costs in case of damage to these items.

The organization cannot be held liable for theft, damage, and/or loss of visitors’ or participants’ belongings. The organization therefore advises not to bring valuable items to the festival.

If you find an item that someone else has lost, please hand it in at the production office on site.

A first aid station is available at the festival. Any necessary first aid will be provided there during the event.

Entering the festival is at your own risk. The organization, as well as the staff working on behalf of the organization, cannot be held liable for any personal injury, material damage, or immaterial damage that visitors to the venue and/or the festival may incur.

In situations not covered by the house rules, the organization will decide on any measures to be taken. The organization’s decision in this regard is binding. Every visitor and participant is expected to be familiar with the house rules.
