The Folly

The French composer Pierre Sauvageot is one of the founders of In Situ, the European platform for artistic creation in public space, and over the decades has realized many remarkable international site-specific projects. For Oranjewoud Festival, he is working on the large-scale project Promenade, in collaboration with, among others, the Noord Nederlands Orkest, which will premiere in 2027.

Kees Lesuis is a Dutch visual artist and cultural producer, best known for his long-standing involvement with the Oerol Festival. From 2006 to 2023, he served as artistic director and played a major role in the development and international profile of the festival. Lesuis set the artistic direction and promoted site-specific theatre and art in the landscape. In addition, he built a strong network for creators worldwide. After more than twenty years, he stepped down from his leading role in 2024 and is now focusing on new projects, with his experience in international collaboration remaining central.
