Climate composer and jazz violinist Tim Kliphuis writes music about the planet. To learn more about it, he decided to interview five top Dutch scientists for his new piece Kosmos. He wrote music inspired by their stories about palms at the North Pole, from when the sun did not yet exist, where the plankton goes at night and how in the forest you get a different view of the world. On stage, seventeen Young Professionals from the National Youth Orchestra are joined by Tim. Biologist and oceanographer Katja Peijnenburg tells her story between parts.
