They spent their whole lives working on it: their voices. These three singers made themselves heard everywhere, accustomed as they were to the spotlight. But with age, they became quieter. Because age can be heard, and perfection is what we strive for, right?
In "Coming of Age," the three singers break the silence. They take you into the possibilities and beauty of their older voices. And let you hear what they have to offer right now. Does their voice still sound? And how do we listen to it? Do we hear only the transience, or also something else - a container of life experience, charisma, their own story? These women can now do something they were never really asked to do before - make their voices sound without having to fit a mold, beyond virtuosity. With pleasure and self-deprecation.
Throughout the performance you will get to know these women: their achievements and tipping points, the sound and music that accompany them. The beauty lies in their vulnerability and in their encounter with you as a listener; in search of their own voice, colored by life. And they invite you to do the same - to find your own voice. Not perfect and yet beautiful.
