The Oranjewoud Festival Foundation is looking for a business director-director to form the two-member board with the artistic director-director effective September 1, 2024. The business director will help concretize and further develop the ambitions and ideas outlined in the 2025-2028 multi-year plan.
Tasks
Together with the artistic director, the business director determines and monitors the multi-year strategy of Oranjewoud Festival, both artistically and commercially with regard to growth, organization, its place in the festival landscape and image. The business director is ultimately responsible for the business and organizational part of the festival, monitoring the implementation of the Diversity & Inclusion, Governance and Fair Practice codes. Half of the year the board works with a compact core team, the months leading up to the festival with an expanded festival team.
Duties include financial management, general operations and internal organization.

We are looking for someone with enthusiastic and connecting leadership. She or he shifts gears quickly, comes up with creative solutions and acts as an equal sparring partner for fellow director. The business director-director also has knowledge about the realization of a performing arts festival with a limited infrastructure and a great dependence on a wide variety of stakeholders, can think along with the various disciplines within the team and keep a good overview.
