Rabobank colors Oranjewoud Festival greener

On March 25, the Frisian Rabobanks and Oranjewoud Festival signed the agreement for a new three-year partnership in which making Oranjewoud Festival greener is the main objective.

The cooperative Rabobank and Oranjewoud Festival Foundation have long been partners. On March 25, they signed a new three-year agreement. Rabobank Director Rob Lijzenga: "Rabobank and Oranjewoud Festival find each other in a number of social themes. We are both committed to the liveability of our immediate surroundings and want to contribute to three important transitions: the energy transition, the food transition and the transition to an inclusive society. On the first of these objectives, Rabobank Heerenveen is making an extra effort this year to enable a greener Oranjewoud Festival ."

Enno Feenstra, head of general production at Oranjewoud Festival: "We are always looking for ways to make the festival greener and more energy-neutral. With the extra contribution from Rabobank this year, Oranjewoud Festival can deploy battery packs on an even larger scale that will make the festival almost entirely electric."

Business director-director of Oranjewoud Festival Dorien van Londen said, "We are very happy with the continuation of the cooperation with Rabobank. Strengthened by this contribution, we can continue our efforts to offer the finest music in the most sustainable and accessible way possible. Offering products from the region and our commitment to an inclusive society will also receive another boost this year."
