House Rules

To make the festival as safe as possible for everyone, we have set up a number of house rules. As a visitor to Oranjewoud Festival you automatically agree to these. This way we can make it a nice festival together.

There is no age limit for attending the festival. Persons under 12 years of age must be accompanied by a person 16 years of age or older.

Visitors must be in possession of a valid admission ticket and be able to show it if requested.

Every visitor may be checked by an organization (security) employee upon entering one of the festival locations. This check is established to protect all visitors, guests, employees and artists in connection with general safety.

The aforementioned control includes the search of the visitor as well as bag control. It is permitted to request that the check be carried out by an employee of the same sex.

A (security) employee of the organization may be asked for valid identification. If you cannot show this, you may be denied access to the festival if there is reason to do so. By valid identification we mean: a passport, identity card or driver's license. Copies of these are not valid.

Take photos and videos to your heart's content and post them on Insta, Facebook or other social media. However, you are not allowed to take professional audio and video recordings for commercial purposes without prior written permission from the organization.

At the festival we will make photo, video and audio recordings. By entering the festival site you agree to this. Do you encounter yourself somewhere online and you really don't like it? Let us know and we will solve it.

Dogs are unfortunately not allowed in walking park The Overt Garden, with the exception of assistance dogs.

We are guests in a special nature reserve. We require all festival visitors to respect nature, other festival goers and local residents: garbage and cigarette butts do not belong in nature, urinating in public is prohibited. Help us keep the grounds and surroundings clean. Park your car or bike only in the designated areas, there are plenty of them.

Selling services or products, flyering and other promotion on or around the grounds is not permitted without written permission from the organization. In case of illegal promotion, all penalties imposed and/or cleanup costs will be recovered from the organization/person concerned.

Visitors are obliged to comply with the regulations of the organization. Directions and instructions from (security) employees of the organization must be followed immediately. In case of suspicion of an offence forbidden at the event, such as possession of drugs, (security) staff is allowed to search. Refusal of a search will result in denial or refusal of access to the festival.

Alcoholic beverages are provided only to persons over the age of 18. When in doubt, identification is always requested.

You may not leave the festival grounds with alcoholic beverages. Drink your drink first or hand it over.

It is forbidden to enter the festival under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs or to participate in any of the activities. If this is the case, access will be refused or denied.

It is forbidden to use, possess and/or deal drugs at the festival. Upon detection of this, immediate removal from the festival will take place by a (security) employee of the organization and the visitor in question will be turned over to the police.

Visitors are prohibited from bringing the following items into the festival:

  • Alcoholic beverages in any packaging, such as glassware, cans, plastic bottles;
  • Fireworks and flammable goods such as aerosols;
  • Weapons and objects that can serve as weapons;
  • Nitrous oxide cartridges, nor their use.

If prohibited and punishable items are found, the organization will turn over to the police the persons from whom it was found.

It is not allowed to take items and/or objects from the festival outside the festival grounds. If these objects are damaged, the visitor will be liable for repair or replacement costs.

The organization cannot be held responsible for theft, destruction and/or loss of property of visitors and participants. The organization therefore advises not to bring valuables to the festival.

Find an item someone else lost? Then turn it in to the production office at the site.

There is a first aid station at the festival. This is where any necessary first aid will be provided during the event.

Entering the festival is done at your own risk. The organization or the employees actively working for the organization cannot be held liable for any injury and/or material or immaterial damage suffered by the visitor(s) to the location and/or the festival.

In situations not covered by the house rules, the organization will decide on possible measures to be taken. The decision of the organization in this regard is binding. Every visitor and participant is deemed to have familiarized himself with the house rules.
