The music of Asian Connection is inspired by Eastern culture, philosophy, meditation, and a love for music that evokes feelings of grounding, stability, and wholeness. In East, West & Beyond, trumpeter Michael Simon joins forces with top artists from Asia and Europe in a perfect blend of the pipa (Chinese lute) within a jazz combo, alongside the engaging use of Western harmonies and rhythms from Latin American, jazz, and classical music. The result is an inspiring musical experience that transcends cultures and appeals to a wide audience.
