OPENING CONCERT - DO 12 JUNE
Salut Salon is back!

The virtuoso and comical women's quartet Salut Salon opens Oranjewoud Festival 2025 with their latest program, The Magic of Dreams. In it, the ensemble brings to life all kinds of magical creatures and fairy-tale characters and pulls off constant pranks, while the foursome also plays brilliant music.

There are times when two plus two can be three. Trio con Brio Copenhagen is one such example, where family ties, cultural mixing and musical connections come together in outstanding performances. In Oranjewoud, enjoy Tchaikovsky's famous Piano Trio in a, among others.

Remy van Kesteren is the Netherlands' best-known and, above all, most versatile harpist. Where previous shows were still instrumental, he now performs with a band and guest singers. The result is the most pop and indie that Remy has ever made.

On Friday afternoon, enjoy a new edition of De Salon, where Pieter van der Wielen talks with singer, songwriter and actor Boudewijn de Groot. In between with What The Fugue, the New Piano Trio plunges into one of the most exciting and complex musical forms in Western music history: the fugue!

In the evening, dive into Museum Belvédère for Ancestors by the Smartphone Orchestra. With them you will embark on a unique journey six generations into the future, using AI and your smartphone to discover how today's choices shape tomorrow's world.

Alexander Gavrylyuk is a stunningly virtuosic pianist and is acclaimed worldwide for his exciting and poetic performances. In Oranjewoud, he will treat audiences to works by Mozart, Chopin and Liszt as well as Mussorgsky's famous Pictures of an Exhibition.

The other end of the spectrum is occupied by Polyphonic, the most energetic orchestra you've ever experienced. Expect a colorful meeting of classical, dance and pop, infused with the party energy of drum 'n bass.

A Myth for Piano by composer Mees Vervuurt is an intriguing solo performance at the intersection of dance, installation and movement theater. Slowly but with great intensity, percussionist Mees Siderius moves at dusk through a mysterious web of horizontally stretched wires.

Clarinetist Tom Wolfs has always been a true Burgundian with a great love of wine. After intensive training, he may officially call himself a vinologist. At the Wine Tasting Concert, to whet your thirst, the Nieuw Amsterdams Klarinet Kwartet will first play the most delicious music, after which Tom will let you taste some beautiful wines and tell you everything you always wanted to know about the world of wine (but were afraid to ask).

Giovanni Sollima is a true cello virtuoso and an extraordinary composer. He communicates music bursting with Mediterranean rhythms, typical Italian melodies and covering all stylistic periods: from baroque to metal.

On January 24, Vincent van Amsterdam became the first accordionist to win the Dutch Music Prize, the highest Dutch classical music award. According to the committee, he "enchants his listeners with his unique musical vision, characteristic playing style and unprecedented virtuosity. You can hear that and much more at Oranjewoud Festival.

FORMIDABLE FINAL CONCERT

As a boy, baritone Thomas Oliemans was already singing along with the stars of French chanson, thanks to his father's LP collection. Now a celebrated opera singer, performing at major opera houses around the world, in Formidable! he and Amsterdam Sinfonietta return to his early passion: French chanson.
