Every year, a Sunrise Concert takes place early on Oranjewoud Festival . Musicians like Matangi, Lucie Horsch, Rosanne Philippens, the Ruysdael Quartet and the New Amsterdam Clarinet Quartet set their alarm clock extra early for once and treated the audience to a beautiful concert during the first rays of sunlight. Afterwards, musicians and audience walked to Festivalhart de Proeftuin for a delicious breakfast.*

The Viride Quartet impressed at Schiermonnikoog with their tingling energy, musical eloquence and superb ensemble playing. The concentration they exuded, the beautiful quartet sound and the at times polyphonic lines were a pleasure to listen to. Enjoy the dawn and slowly wake up to the musical sounds of Mendelssohn and Haydn.
