From their classical roots, these five heart friends have embarked on an idiosyncratic path and experimentation to explore new possibilities for their traditional instruments. Thanks to the unusual instrumentation of three cellos and two violins, the musicians rely on their own creativity and ingenuity. This turns out to be right up their alley. Their self-titled debut album, released in 2023, is full of their own unique compositions and improvisations.
Woodcraft's music is typical of the era in which the musicians grew up. It has a genre-transcending style with a distinctive own opinion. Playing their own compositions, Woodcraft won the jury and audience award of the Dutch Jazz Competition last year. The ensemble has played at North Sea Jazz Festival, The Grachtenfestival, the Cello Biennale Amsterdam and now at Oranjewoud Festival.

From a cup of coffee to a hot dish. What could be cozier than having some food and drinks after the concert with other festival visitors, friends or the musicians themselves?
