A last letter, what do you put in it? Of course, it doesn't always have to be a letter saying goodbye to each other. It may also be a farewell to a feeling, period or stage of life. Rich with inspiration from this thought, Matangi and Ruben Hein crawled into the pen, and together wrote a song cycle called P.S.

After 25 years of happily playing music of all styles and by composers from all corners of the world, Matangi felt the strong urge to take on an entirely new challenge, unusual for classically trained musicians: to create their own genre from their own compositions.

This album is the result of personal and individual additions by five enthusiastic and curious creatives. They wrote letters to each other, composed melodies and fragments that are inseparable from the individuals' worlds of feeling, and their core of being.

P.S. ft Matangi & Ruben Hein is one of the gems with which Matangi celebrates its 25th anniversary. The songs are about friendship, doubt, brotherly love, fear and betrayal. They have a contemporary eclectic sound in which elements of classical, jazz and pop music come together. The strings of Matangi and the soulful voice of Ruben Hein create a mesmerizing change of sound that brings to life the deep-seated emotions of the songs. A highly personal product, this album pays tribute to the vanishing letter, for which there seems to be no room in this world anymore.
