The Matthias Van den Brande Trio has put itself firmly on the European jazz map in two years. With several major awards under their belt, such as B-Jazz International Contest and Tremplin Jazz 'Concours Européen' Avignon, the trio released their debut album Three Sides of a Coin in 2023. This was received with enthusiasm in Belgium, the Netherlands, France and Spain during an international release tour.
While handling a lineup without piano or guitar in a modern and unique way, melodic compositions rooted in the jazz tradition provide a strong interaction with the audience.
