Lauswolt Estate and Oranjewoud Festival are pulling together to contribute to music education in their own way. In doing so, they are driven by their shared love of classical music, their belief in the importance of music education and a high standard of quality. Sharing is multiplying: acting together strengthens the drive and ambition, increases the impact and offers the prospect of long-term support and strength.
The Friesian organizations Landgoed Lauswolt and Oranjewoud Festival share the ambition to actively contribute to music education. Lauswolt organizes the annual Junior Lauswolt Summer Concert, together with the Lions Club Opsterland, Frysk Jeugd Orkest and the elementary school from Opsterland. Oranjewoud Festival expanded its Children's Trial Garden to include the large, stand-alone storyline Family Zone. And prior to the festival, nearly 400 schoolchildren are guests in the special program Festival as Classroom. These initiatives aim to introduce young children to the finest classical music in a playful, engaging way, to entice children to play/make, experience, enjoy more themselves and also share this with their parents.
Landgoed Lauswolt and Oranjewoud Festival find each other in their vision that qualitative growth comes before quantitative growth, that what you do can always be done better, that entrepreneurship comes by trial and error but that risk is a sine qua non to move forward, to really make a mark on something. In this case, on music education. Lauswolt and Oranjewoud Festival are working together for their "clients" of the future.
