On Saturday, June 18, 2022, New Music NOW will host the first Day of the Composer with the motto Long Live the Composer! A celebration of new music. Throughout the country you will hear music by composers active in the Netherlands: not only in concert halls and theaters, but also from bell towers, on the streets and in living rooms. NTR and VPRO cover it live and New Music NOW streams concerts and Q&A throughout the day. Reporters are reporting on the Day of the Composer from all over the country. With the many premieres taking place at Oranjewoud Festival , the festival is also a worthy prelude to this.
