Nico Nap Foundation

The Foundation Nico Nap Foundation aims to support institutions, which aim at the general benefit, but in particular in the field of art, culture and cultural heritage.

The current policy involves the financial and substantive support of cultural projects initiated by institutions with which a relationship has been built up over time. In many cases this results in support of projects for several years. New contacts are also made with institutions, which are expected to realize surprising projects in the near future. As a rule, the Nico Nap Foundation seeks out and approaches the targets themselves.

Oranjewoud Festival

The festival has collaborated with Oranjewoud Festival every year since 2016. In 2018, the festival formed the main classical music program of Leeuwarden-Fryslân Cultural Capital of Europe. As part of this programming, the performance of British star violinist Nigel Kennedy was made possible in part by the Nico Nap Foundation.
