Two top musicians performing at Oranjewoud: cellist Alexander Warenberg, who apart from winning first prize at the Cello Biennale Amsterdam in 2016, has picked up numerous international awards, and violinist Shin Sihan, famed for his phenomenal virtuosity and musicality. The latter has also won several awards and was part of the 2018 festival line-up as a member of the Animato Quartet. The duo brings a versatile programme, ranging from the elegant two-part Inventionen by Bach, the romantic pieces by Russian composer Glière to the well-known but spectacular Passacaglia by Halvorsen after Händel. In short, pure enjoyment.
