Trico is a world music ensemble from the Netherlands that tries to capture different musical styles from all over the world in their compositions. The result is an organic blend of Arabic and flamenco music, with influences from Latin and modern jazz, that takes you on a journey around the world. With a lineup unique to the Dutch music scene, Trico has an exotic sound that is full of melancholy and excitement.
The band recorded their debut album in the summer of 2021 at Wedgeview Studios with Udo Pannekeet as engineer. This album represents their love for music from all over the world and their search for a perfect blend of these different influences. Currently, the band is working on a new album, with a focus on flamenco and maqams and how to merge these Spanish and Ottoman influences.
Trico plays two sets with a break in between.
