Fryske trûbadoer Grytsje Kingma takes you back to her Frisian roots. Raised with love for the Frisian language, she discovered as a 14-year-old girl the enchantment of the guitar as an accompanying instrument for listening songs. Over 30 years later, she took the step to the stage, with her own song lyrics and melodies.
By now she has been a Fryske trûbadoer for 16 years. She has released 3 CDs and a collection of lyrics. She has also participated in many musical projects and leads several vocal groups. In the tipi tent you can listen to a selection of her songs. They relate to origin, nostalgia with a touch of melancholy, the village of yesteryear, life in the Frisian countryside. With occasional forays into Frisian poets such as Fedde Schurer and Atze Bosch.
A small intimate walk-in concert, where guitar, vocals and the Frisian language melt into a harmonious whole in campfire song atmosphere. Pure Fryske folk music that touches the heart.
